New Zealand Woman's Weekly: The First 60 Years

BLACKWELL, Janet

Notes
Librarian has separate index in library office. 1932-1992 The first edition of the "NZ Woman's Weekly" was published on 8 December 1932. It was for New Zealand women - rich and poor, young and old. The aim was to teach, to entertain, to assist and to amuse; to become a national family journal in the truest and fullest sense of the word. Over the years this magazine has provided entertainment for millions of New Zealanders. It has captured the development of our nation, reflected changing fashion and fads, brought to life personalities, provided the continuing sage of royalty and presented a wealth of information in a way uniquely our own.
