Pita, who lives on the island of Niue, describes how she catches an octopus off the coral reef that is near her village, using a cowrie shell lure made by her uncle, who tells her the legend of the rat and the octopus. Later, Hope's mother cooks the octopus in onions and coconut cream. Includes facts about the coral reef, a recipe, and other ways of catching fish.
