The Way We Were: Canterbury
Davies, Valerie
Series: The Way We Were
Notes
OLD B/W PHOTOGRAPHS A series that captures through photographs the essence of everyday life in New Zealand prior to 1960. A unique and personal view of our history, as the photos have been unearthed from family albums that have recorded the lives of generations of New Zealanders. Canterbury is a region of great contrasts, its agricultural plains bordered by some of the highest mountains in New Zealand. Early settlers included some remarkable men, who quickly established huge farms and marketed the region's produce around the world. The beauty of the area has become one of its assets.Additional Notes
