Fourteen year-old Mary wishes to escape her strict religious family, and is keen to form new friendships. She meets up with Sean, a twenty year-old she's been chatting with on Facebook. At first things go well, but after Sean rapes her, Mary becomes pregnant. Later, her parents send her to Australia where Mary meets Tevita, a young Fijian man who shows her that hope can shine through despair. Explores the themes of teenage friendship, love, pregnancy and adoption in European and Fijian culture.
