The lady and the peacock : the life of Aung San Suu Kyi

Popham, Peter

Notes
Aung San Suu Kyi was the unchallenged leader of the largest popular revolt in Burma's history. When the party she founded won a landslide victory, she was in detention and barred from taking office by a military junta. In 2010, she was again freed and greeted by ecstatic crowds.
